Cold Blackroot – July Coffee of the Month

Man Overboard affogato at Pirate Cigar Lounge in Pinellas Park FL - hot espresso poured over vanilla bean ice cream

Steady, Crew

It's July in Florida. The air has weight. The pavement is a threat. You don't need warming up — you need cooling down without giving up the caffeine.

Enter Cold Blackroot: cold, frothy root beer in a glass, with a cooled shot of espresso dropped straight in. Sassafras and crema. Sweet, spiced, dark, and cold all the way down. It's the root beer float's older sibling — the one who went to sea and came back with a caffeine habit.

HOW WE SERVE IT

16 oz, frothed and poured cold. The espresso goes in already cooled, so nothing melts and nothing waters down. Sweet up front, spice in the middle, coffee on the back end.

THREE WAYS TO DROWN

All 16 oz. All cold. Pick your depth.

PAIR IT WITH THE CIGAR OF THE MONTH — "SUMMER CHILL"

The Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial brings pepper, cocoa, and cedar. Root beer brings sassafras and wintergreen. Both of them are spiced — they don't fight, they rhyme. The only difference is temperature: one arrives lit, one arrives on ice.

Keep the heat in the cigar. Put the chill in the glass. That's Summer Chill.
