September Coffee of the Month: The Long Watch

September's Coffee of the Month is The Long Watch. Sumatra Mandheling pulled as a double, with hazelnut and a quarter turn of cinnamon. Nine ounces of grass-fed A2 steamed soft, caramel drizzled over, cinnamon dusted on top. Twelve ounces in ceramic, built to outlast a big cigar.

Toasted hazelnut, caramel and cinnamon up front. Cedar and dark earth underneath. Low acid, which is the point when it is going to sit beside something long.

It is the warm spiced drink that carries the turn into fall without going anywhere near pumpkin. That restraint is the whole idea.

We have a real barista and a real espresso menu, which is not something most cigar lounges can say.
